Rang de Basanti

After a long time i found an interesting movie in indian cinema. This movie was shot with a difference. we have seen a lot of cinemas on the same topic bhagat singh and how great he was but none of them captured the feelings of bhagat singh like the way this movie does. None of previous moive tries to describe why he took such a decision and what made him do that. Rang de Basanti does this by relating it to the present day situation.

This movie is made from the heart and that is evident while watchin the it. The movie has the mix of both the modern day masala together with a message, the combination very rarely found in the same movie.

The movie starts with british director who wants to make a movie on bhagat singh. As the story goes on the actors acting in the flim land up in a situation which is very much similar to what bhagat singh faced. The similarities in these two situations are highlighted which is the best element of the movie.

Some would say the ending does not suit it properly, but i would say that this is the the best ending this movie could have. This is exactly what is happening in present day situation. Relating this to Bhagat singh, this is exactly what had happened to him.

One major element in the movie is its music. The background score is very good. Also the timing of each song is fantastic. My favorite song is "rang de basanti". In other movies of bhagat singh we have heard many versions of that song. This one is the modern version and it lives upto its reputation.

War of the worlds

if u think this is just another movie with a lot of action and nothing actually there to watch out for then you are absolutely right. the first half of the movie is just the hero (tom cruise) running from the aliens since there is a attack from the other world. And now if u think there is going to be some twist in the story in the later half then you are wrong again. The hero finally gets caught by one of the alien machines. and what does he do. yup rite he destroyes it. then then what happens........ all the alien machines and the aliens die themselves on their own with no particular reason. and the movie ends with a voice sayin the aliens dont have the immunity to stay on earth..... what a sad ending. i would have liked if all humans had died, thats atleast logical. anyways according to me the greatest drawback of this movie is that it doesnt have any heroine. seeing the heroine run from the aliens (like in baywatch) would have been really entertainning. i missed her very much in this movie :(

Kya Kool hai hum

After a long time i saw a hindi movie that was worth watching. quite a funny movie. the first half of the movie is too good and in the second half it just takes the usual course. the movie is unable to maintain the same tempo like the start. but still i would say overall a good movie defineatly worth a watch. most of the story is unrealistic but who cares as long as it is funny to watch.

see this movie with ur close friends or alone. the choice that i made was to see this movie alone. As my computer was not working i decided to see this in a theather. was a wrong choice. my two neighbours were two very beautiful gals n with such a intimidating atmosphere it was very tuff to control myself for 3 hours. one was like isha (one of my fav gals) and the other like neha. thanks to their boyfriends or i donno wht i would hv done to them ;)
